Turn a Pringles Box into a Coin Bank!

To recycle or not to recycle? The results are mixed overtime I google "are Pringle box (jar)s recyclable?" But in the mean time let's turn it into something useful! I leave lots of coins around my house and then forget about them, so I'm turning my box into a piggy (pringles?) bank!

Also, since many people, me included, are too lazy to read, I have a video tutorial of this both on my Youtube Channel and Facebook page.

Difficulty level: extremely easy

Time required: 5 minutes

Materials needed: Pringles can and letter opener. (optional: paper/drawing materials)

So how do you make it?

1) Prepare the box (can? jar? cylinder?)

Obviously, clean out your Pringles jar by washing it and getting rid of the aluminum cover.

2) Cut the lid

Using your letter opener, cut out a rectangle large enough to fit coins through.

3) optional: Decorate the box

I did this by cutting a piece of paper and drawing on it, then securing it on the box with tape. (it didn't fit at first so I had to slice parts of the paper off once I taped it on the can ^.^')

Would I recommend making this?

depends: if you already have a piggy bank, don't make it, but if you don't, the operability of the lid makes it a lot more appealing than smashing a porcelain jar. It is also extremely easy to make so why not ^.^

Thanks so much for reading this and in the mean time, click here for a cool article on what not to recycle!

If you made this and would like to show off your own creation, or if you have any questions/comments/concern/wanna say hi to me, please put it in the comments below!!
