Turn NEWSPAPERS into MUG COASTERS!

Whether we want them or not, we all get newspapers. And even if we use them, we discard them after reading once or twice. So why not turn some discarded newspapers into something useful! (literally how I end every blurb)
Okay I'm actually super proud of this because it took several tries (well more like 2) to get it right~
Since many people, me included, are too lazy to read, I have a video tutorial of this both on my Youtube Channel and Facebook page.
Difficulty level: easy
Time required: 15 minutes
Materials needed: Newspaper, water, glue
So how do you make it?
1) Divide the paper into 3 pieces
Open up the newspaper and take out one whole sheet (so it's the size of 2 pages). Divide it into 3 along the vertical side and cut into 3 long pieces (I recommend fold and rip since newspaper paper is really fragile).
2) Soak in water and fold
Dip your newspaper strips in water - this would make it a lot easier to fold and stay folded - and fold it until each is a thin, thick strip.
3) Spiral it into a disk
I did this by cutting a piece of paper and drawing on it, then securing it on the box with tape. (it didn't fit at first so I had to slice parts of the paper off once I taped it on the can ^.^')
warning! it stains! But the color comes off easily with soap
4) Attach next strip as needed
Once you ran out of paper for your spiral, attach next strip by adding a bit of glue and continue where you left off. When you reach the size you want, glue the end to the spiral and press it against a flat surface to get rid of uneven lumps. Now just leave it to dry for a few hours!

Would I recommend making this?
pros:
It's really fun to make! I made this after taking the ACTs and it was super therapeutic ^.^
It actually works! Thick amounts of paper works as an insulator and absorbs tea staining to protect your tables!
cons:
Don't make it if you already have/don't need coasters! But you know what would be fun? Using this as a painting surface or attaching multiple together to make a box!
If you made this and would like to show off your awesomeness, or if you have any questions/comments/concern/wanna say hi to me, please put it in the comments below!!
